Grammar and spelling can be difficult to get your head around at times and though we appreciate how hard it can be, we do appreciate a certain standard of both in this RP. We are all Paragraph RPers which means posts like: * Walkz in, sits down, luks round, waits 4 service.* is not fun for us to reply to and would not be acceptable here. We have nothing against people who enjoy this type of RP it is just not our thing.

If English isn't your first language, do the best you can. If you are putting in a genuine effort and your posts are concise and written to the best of your ability, well, that's all we ask for!

- A lot of us use Mozilla Firefox because it has a built-in spell checker (you can download the latest version for free), but if you don’t want to use Firefox, Microsoft Word has a great spell checker built in. This is your typo-master speaking: notepad doesn’t have a spellchecker so won’t really help with anything other than double checking a post before hitting ‘send’, we all make mistakes and sometimes we just don't feel like proofreading [cough]. Which brings me to my next point:

- Proofread: Take a minute to read over your work if you can because spell checker won't always pick up a mistake if it's a correctly spelled, but not the word you intended to type.

- Commas are your friend but don't use them in excess. Do not, do this, because, a comma, is, usually read as, a mental, pause, and when you use, commas too often, it can get, pretty, irritating, to, read. See what I mean?

DO:

- Use punctuation when you can.
- Spell things as best you can and use a spell checker.
- Capitalize things like: Names, places and the beginning of each sentence.
- Ask if you need help typing a post or don’t understand what someone else has posted. It’s not a sin to ask questions, it’s how we all learn.

An easy way to get a post out if you're not sure is to simply think as your character would: put yourself in their place. How do they feel, what do they smell, hear and think?

- Use sensory detail.

It not only enhances your post and makes it more pleasant to read, it provides information that people may get tired of asking for.

- Be considerate of others.
- Be sure to read at least a few posts before you enter so you know what’s going on. Take the time to read about what's happening so you can get involved and interact with others without making things awkward or confusing.
